Tack and Rider is situated on Winter Hey Lane and is the brain child of Eileen Yates who has been riding and stabling horses in Rivington for the last three years. Situated at Number 24, formerly Driver Supplier North West Ltd, (they have moved upstairs to the second floor) this is the only local business of it’s type in the area.

Eileen says: “ I have been riding for some time now and my grand-daughter is a keen horse rider and we were finding it difficult to find equestrian equipment without having to make a trip to Ashton or Chorley. There is definitely a niche market for the sort of products and services we will be providing.”

Tack and Rider opened on Thursday 6th July 2006, and is open Monday to Saturday. We also have an online store offering a wide range of products which are usually delivered within 48 hours.
